The regatta was held in 1898 e.V. (RGH) life by the Foundation with cancer and the National Center for tumor diseases (NCT), as well as the Ruder-Gesellschaft Heidelberg. The regatta was the acquisition of donations for the program of movement and cancer”of the NCT. “The German College for prevention and health management acted as sponsor of the event and turned that developed program live together with the NCT active after cancer” as well as the master studies focus on lifestyle intervention and cancer “before. The race was a great success. Fortunately dry weather 92 hobby teams competed against each other with rowers from hospitals and companies and showed to their commitment in the fight against cancer. Highlight of the regatta was one against all”insert race, where the bronze medal winner of Marcel Hacker of the Germany aft as the reigning Olympic champion and the World Rowing Championships German U23 aft on the 300m Sprint track challenged. The Olympic champion won the thrilling race at the end. “In addition to the presentation of projects, active life after cancer” and lifestyle intervention and cancer “were employees of the DHfPG on the water ashore: Emanuel Schembri, Bachelor student in the health management of DHfPG and NCT, joined with a team. Also two finished Matthias Schomann Finck, researcher of the DHfPG and rowing world champion in 2009 and 2012, with his team with Ironman triathlete Alex Taubert and Olympic gymnast Elisabeth Seitz in the Prominentenrennen. The regatta was surrounded by a colourful programme on land with vocal and artistic performances, a raffle and an autograph session of the Germany of eights.
